A bit about me
I was extraordinarily fortunate to spend Youth and Quality time in Tibet and Nepal in the 1970’s working as a professional Subscribe on Tourism Matters
The 1980’s saw me back in India & Launched Nepal Tourism Package with office at Nepal & India. The NTP group of company India marketing office, promoting and organizing travel throughout the sub-continent including wildlife, trekking and cultural vacations. NTP were one of the pioneers of adventure travel and conservation tourism. Then established the first ever Tours & Trekking company and ran treks and climbing expeditions throughout the Himalayas in India and Nepal & other Destination Specific products like Holidays, Expeditions, Village Tours, Weddings, Pilgrimage and MICE & Conference.
There after I launched several Programs to develop the villages and coordinate with the Local NGO for the sustainable tourism programs.
By virtue of our experience and collaboration we launched our colleges with Specialized Hospitality Degree Programs.

Anywhere new? Having spent much time in Tibet lately Nepal, with its big skies, engaging people and freedom, it continues to be a big attraction. It may sound clichéd but simply thinking of the sounds, beauty and aromas of an African sunset makes my skin tingle. But then I love variety, the bustling streets of Singapore, the peace and tranquillity of the Himalayas, the grandeur and solitude of the Antartica, the drama of the Galapagos Islands and the hypnotic charm of the Irrawaddy are all equally captivating and enthralling.

My top tips
Travel lightly, with an open mind and a sense of humor. You never need as much clobber as you imagine and laundry service is invariably good and quick.
Be prepared for behaviour and attitudes that differ from what you may be used to at home. Just because they vary from what you consider the norm does not mean they are wrong. It is wasted energy being stressed or agitated on vacation due to minor delays, misunderstanding or the occasional hiccup. Most of these situations will have an amusing side if viewed from the right angle.
Leave phones and emails switched off as much as possible. It is amazing how life can continue without your involvement.
Above all have fun, keep your eyes, mind and heart open and absorb as much as you can.

Neelam Sharma, Managing Director of NTP has been in tourism business since 1996. At the onset, he gathered experience and in depth knowledge about this field by guiding trekkers to different regions of Nepal. For instance Mustang, Annapurna, Everest, Langtang to name just a few from his vast accomplishments. These stints at trekking furthered Her interest in this field and She went on & launched NTP with Hemant K Sharma. Being a part of NTP, She constantly comes up with different ideas as to how to promote sustainable tourism in Nepal and also better the tourism business for not only NTP but for Nepal as a whole. Along with that, he examines that our guests are being served well and also sees to it how we can better our facilities for the benefit of our guests.
Apart from these She has also been involved in a lot of social work. He believes that an individual should contribute for the betterment of his society too. He has previously worked as a volunteer for different organizations including agricultural farm. Currently She is involved With the Village Program in the Mustang Region, which focus on the upliftment program of woman , basic hygiene and food.
Neelam’s passion for travel, making new friends and interacting with people from all cultures has taken him to visiting many countries of the world including Austria, Germany, Holland, Japan, USA and other Asian countries.

A bit about me
I spent the early 1990’s in the Nepal and India Himalaya leading treks, river trips and village tours, before I joined NTP .
I am in service to the company for 15 years and have been free hand to develop destination based products Although Ultimate’s portfolio of tailor-made journeys and escorted tours has diversified extensively, I remain passionate about adventure travel as my answers to the questions below will attest.
My favourite place
Until recently, my instant response would have been Nepal. It is a truly remarkable country with a synergy of spiritual and physical beauty that is more pristine than any of its Himalayan neighbors. Buddhism & Hinduism is everywhere and everything, mountains and rivers are considered sacred, and the pursuit of ‘gross national happiness’ is by royal decree.
Every District has its own authentic Worship , Cuisine and Lifestyle.
My most memorable experience
Climbing Mount Kailash. Reaching the summit on a cloudless, windless day, and in time to watch the sun rise over the Height of Kailash, It was far tougher than I had envisaged, but that ‘altitude high’, when all of the universe seem as below you, is something I will not forget in a hurry.
My top tips
Don’t overfill your itinerary.
Leave a few mornings/afternoons free, so that you can then decide what to do or see on an ad hoc basis. Our local agents will be happy to provide cars and guides etc. at short notice.
Don’t get too hung up about specific airline seats and hotel room categories. A vacation experience should be so much more than that.
Get your laundry done at the end of the vacation. One less thing to do when you return home.

A college graduate in economics, she is deeply passionate about Nepal’s tourism industry. It’s hard for anybody to reach out to him when he is on vacation. Why? Because during her free time, she loves conquering the remote trails of the Nepalese Himalayas.

A computer specialist to the core, his intensive passion and skills for web developing is innate. Mr. Hariom is the back bone of all our online operations. It's his job to keep websites updated and in proper working order. He is constructive, industrious and ministrant. Celina Maharjan Office Assistant & Cook

She manages our office kitchen and makes it a point to serve lunch to the staff as well as the guests visiting our office. He cooks awesome snacks and also prepares tea/coffee for us. She has trekked all over the country initially working as a porter then kitchen boy and then as a cook. She is a responsible person and an integral part of our team.
